You may be wondering why. I ran into a problem with the template I use for this site. After cursing at the damn thing for several hours, I decided to relax, play a couple of games, and see if I could figure it out.
I never did, because in the middle of a game, I got a flash of creativity, and while I was saying to myself "damn, that's good..." I lost my man, and had to start at the beginning of the game level again. :(
I said when I opened shivaSite this was a "beta", and I have now decided that it's time to get everything finished and done. I also now know that this site design is just not what I wanted to do, it's a major pain in the ass if I want to change anything, and it's not flexible enough from a design point of view.
So I'm thinking that if I'm going to redo the site, I might as well change the site design as well, so that is what I am presently working on. I have re-organized the site, and loaded it all in, so I may just open it, even though there's still a couple of problems with it.
As to the new design? Well, it's different...
Also, there will be some pretty large updates as well, including more manuals. The update will also include some minor design changes, as it's time to get out of the "beta" stage, and get more things polished and complete.
With luck, I can get enough of the new reorganization done for Monday. I suspect it will take about a full day to get everything redone. The Forums will still be up though, so regular users are advised to bookmark the forum pages before Monday.
